Founder Director Dr. Seema Sharma Clinical cum Counselling psychologist and head of YIPS (Young India Psychological Solutions) has more than 20 years of experience in various fields of psychology and has worked in different organizations; NGOs, hospitals, and school setups. She conducts individual as well as group counselling sessions for diverse populations.
As the level of stress, anxiety and conflicts are continuously increasing among all populations of society whether it be children, teenagers, young adults, or adults.
Her counselling sessions are designed to meet the needs of different individuals and groups. The sessions are focused on academic difficulties, I.Q. memory attitude and aptitude related issues, behavioral problems, identity crisis, and parent-child relationship conflicts among one other.
Understanding and treating depression among women is an area of great interest of her organization. She has done a Ph.D. from Panjab University Chandigarh, with a specialization in clinical and counseling psychology, and learned psychometric and Psychodiagnostic testing under the guidance of the experts from P.G.I. Chandigarh.
She is versed in applying all the therapies either it’s psychotherapy, behavior therapy, or Client-Centered Therapy, and doing testing as per the demands of the situations and requirements of the individuals and groups. She is inclined towards client-centered therapy (CBT), where proper space is provided for all the clients to express their feelings. She believes that by instilling ray of hope we can alter the distorted thought process of the clients and help them to restore a happy and healthy life.
